IODT have been delivering vocational and academic professional development programmes in the UK and overseas for over 18 years, more recently established an office in Luton, operated a branch in Qatar (Middle East) with further expansion in West Africa. Our diverse team of trainers both in the UK and overseas hold a vast pool of experience, knowledge and expertise in our vocational qualifications. We believe in the value of work-based learning to develop people at all levels from administration all the way up to senior management. We are able to provide for all of these levels as our vocational qualifications range from Level 1 to Level 7, allowing a progression from Awards to Diplomas.

Award in First Aid at Work at QCF level 3 (SCQF Level 6 in Scotland)

This qualification complies with the guidelines and criteria as defined by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) in respect of the 1981 (First Aid) Regulations. Where the risk assessment of First Aid needs identifies the need for First Aider’s, then this course will give your learners that, subject to assessment. The duration of this qualification must be a minimum of 3 days with a minimum of 18 contact hours.

The course must be completed within 10 weeks from starting and each session must be a minimum of 2 hours

Award in First Aid at Work Re-qualification at QCF Level 3 (SCQF Level 6 Scotland)

This re-qualification complies with the guidelines and criteria as defined by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) in respect of the 1981 (First Aid) Regulations. Where the risk assessment of First Aid needs identifies the need for First Aiders, then this course will give your learners that, subject to assessment. The duration of this qualification must be a minimum of 2 days with a minimum of 12 contact hours. The course must be completed within 6 weeks from starting and each session must be a minimum of 2 hours. This course will give the learners a qualification to the highest level of First Aid, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

Award in Emergency First Aid at Work at QCF level 2 (SCQF Level 5 in Scotland)

This qualification complies with the guidelines and criteria as defined by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) in respect of the 1981 (First Aid) Regulations. Where the risk assessment of First Aid needs identifies the need for Emergency First Aiders, then this course will give your learners that, subject to assessment. The duration of this qualification must be a minimum of 6 hours.

The course must be completed within 4 weeks from starting and each session must be a minimum of 2 hours

Award in Paediatric First Aid at QCF Level 3 (SCQF Level 6 in Scotland)

This qualification is made up of two units and in order to attain the full award you must achieve success in both units. However, should you only achieve one unit, then this can be recognised and accredited accordingly. This two-day course satisfies the guidelines and criteria as defined by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and OFSTED.

More importantly, you will be gaining knowledge and competence to administer first aid and basic life support – an extremely valuable skill to have – for you, your employer as well as friends and Family

Award in First Aid Risk Assessment – Principles and Practice at QCF Level 2 (SCQF Level 5 Scotland)

This course will provide detailed information about the considerations and relevant factors in order to determine the needs and requirements and to ultimately produce a Risk Assessment of First Aid Needs for the business.

The duration of this qualification must be a minimum of 6 hours in the classroom.

The course must be completed within 4 weeks from starting, and each session must be a minimum of 2 hours.

Award in Activity First Aid at QCF level 2 (SCQF Level 5 Scotland)

This Level 2 qualification is made up of 2 units including Emergency First Aid at Work.

It is specifically designed for those who are involved in many activities, including sports, leisure and recreation. Not only is Basic Life Support included, but many other conditions ranging from hypothermia to head injuries to sprains and strains to diabetes and asthma.

Award in Health and Safety in The Workplace at QCF Level 2 (SCQF Level 5 Scotland)

Award in Fire Safety at QCF Level 2 (SCQF Level 5 in Scotland)

This course is designed for employees who want to develop their fire safety awareness in order to assist their employer by undertaking more specific fire safety roles in the workplace to manage fire risk (e.g. as fire wardens/marshals/stewards etc.) The importance of fire safety in the workplace is underpinned by health and safety legislation that places a duty on employers to establish policies and procedures and ensure their employees receive appropriate training.
